What this does
Give ChatGPT (OpenAI) access to your OmegaVault memories.
Requirements
- A ChatGPT Plus/Team account or API access
- An OmegaVault account (free plan works)
- Your OmegaVault MCP endpoint + personal access token (Settings → Connectors)
Setup
- Copy your MCP credentials. In OmegaVault: Settings → Connectors → ChatGPT. Copy the endpoint URL and access token.
- Open ChatGPT connector settings. In ChatGPT, enable the MCP server option and add OmegaVault as a new remote MCP server with the credentials from step 1.
- Authorize the connection. ChatGPT walks you through an OAuth-style confirm flow. Approve to grant the connection read + write scope on your vault.
- Confirm in OmegaVault. The connector status should flip to green within a few seconds. If not, refresh the Connectors page.
- Start using it. Reference your memories from any new ChatGPT conversation, or ask ChatGPT to store something from the current chat into your vault.
Notes & caveats
The OpenAI integration can use either the MCP transport or the OpenAI API. The MCP path is recommended — it's the same OmegaVault endpoint every other client uses.
